SUBJECT:     WPIAL Football Championships

DATE:                        November 22, 2010

As we prepare for the 2010 WPIAL Football Championships, there are a number of WPIAL and Heinz Field rules that must be adhered to at all times.  Please adhere to these rules so that we may avoid embarrassing situations.  The special rules include the following:

1.           All persons entering the stadium will be checked carefully, including equipment bags, personal bags, etc., when entering the stadium.  Carry-in items must be minimal and essential.  Only persons with a “field pass” will be permitted on the field, and security will require photo identification.  Heinz Field security will not tolerate misconduct from any spectator.

2.           North Allegheny is designated as the home team and will wear black uniforms.

3.           All fans with game tickets, complimentary tickets, or 2010 WPIAL courtesy passes, must enter Gate A, which is located at the south end of the stadium on North Shore Drive.  Ticket sales may be purchased at the ticket windows outside Gate A.  Conference scouting passes or perfect student attendance passes will not be accepted.

4.           The presence of whistles, sirens, horns, and stick held pom-poms are prohibited.  If discovered, they will be confiscated.  “Walking” signs, flags or banners are prohibited at the game site.  All stationary signs must be sportsmanlike in their message.

5.           North Allegheny is designated as the home team for the game.  Our spectators will sit in sections 130-144.  Handicapped spectators may be dropped off at the press gate across from the Carnegie Science Center.  There is no VIP or media parking available.  Heinz Field parking lots will open at 8:00 am.  The cost for parking is $5.  The ticket booths at Gate A will open at 8:30 am.  If spectators leave, they must purchase another ticket to re-enter.  Only the first level of the stadium will be open.

6.           Sale of ancillary items is not permitted.

7.           The national anthem will be sung by a high school student ten minutes prior to the championship game.  At halftime, bands must play from the sidelines to the hashmarks, if permitted.  Heinz Field management reserves the right to prohibit bands from playing on the field at halftime.  If this occurs, bands will be required to play from their seats, or from the sidelines in front of the seating areas.  The Woodland Hills band will play first at halftime followed by the North Allegheny Tiger Marching Band.  Our band will sit in section 132.  Bands are prohibited from playing during game action.

8.           Tickets may be purchased in advance.  Adult tickets are $10.00 and students are $5.00.  All tickets sold on the evening of the game will be $10.00.  We strongly encourage you to purchase tickets in advance because North Allegheny receives a larger share of the gate receipts.  Student ticket prices are not available at the game.

9.           All seats are general admission.  We will sell tickets this week in the Athletic Office at the following times:
