COMPETITION MEETING

AGENDA
1.
Congratulations to your son or daughter for making either the NA Varsity Comp.
Squad or the JV Comp. Squad.
2. Tentative Comp. Schedule is attached for both the Varsity and JV Comp. Squads.
These dates are not set in stone. The NA Coaches will decide the final comp.
schedule as soon as possible.
3. 25 NEW COMP. UNIFORMS were purchased for the Varsity Comp. Squad.
($4,410.36.) This has been the first year that NA Comp. Cheerleading has had
a complete uniform.
4. The mono flex top that were used for the Varsity Comp. Squad will be handed down
to the JV Comp. Squad and a skirt will be added to coordinate with the top.
The mono flex tops were reconditioned this season at a cost of $100.00.
Fundraising has begun to help offset the costs associated with having 2
comp. squads competing this season.
5. Dues for Varsity and JV Comp. as of 10⁄24⁄12
$110.00 is due immediately for chorography and the first 2 competitions for a total of
$170.00 PER COMP. CHEERLEADER!
6. Snacks will be provided to all cheerleaders for short comp. trips and luncheon
sandwiches, small bags of chips and a bottled water will be provided to all comp.
cheerleaders for longer trips. Please contact your Squad rep with dietary restrictions.
7. Liz Skirtich will be the contact person for the Varsity Comp. Squad. Vicki Settino and
Lorie Mertz will handle the JV Comp. Squad this season. Thank you for volunteering.
8. According to the NA CHEERLEADING BY LAWS, SECTION 4.3….. No Competitive
Cheerleader will be able to attend any out of state competition if dues are not paid for
the current year or assessed competition expenses are not met. This included dues to all
Clothing Vendors, NA Cheer Boosters, Fundraising and money owed to the Squad Reps.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE
9. All Varsity Comp. Cheerleader will have a practice uniform this season to be worn at
Disney. Varsity Comp. Cheerleaders will be responsible for purchasing a practice tank
top, matching skort and a hair bow chosen by the NA Coaching Staff. Teri Choban will be
handing out order forms.
10.
Mini camp clothing will also be worn at Disney, Please make sure everyone has
their blue mini camp t-shirt and blue paw print shorts. Please see Teri Choban is you
need clothing items, ASAP.
11. UCA HIGH SCHOOL NATIONALS IN ORLANDO FLORIDA WILL BE HELD ON
FEBRUARY 7-11, 2013. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!!
12. Flights have been reserved. Deposit of $1,800.00 has been given to reserve the (26)
flights. The cost of a flight to Disney is $356.60 per cheerleader, per Coach. We have 20
Varsity Comp. Cheerleaders, 2 alternates, along with 4 Coaches.
Varsity Cheerleaders will be leaving on Thursday, February 7th . The flight is at 4:10pm
and returning on the morning of Monday, Feb. 11th at 11:20am to NASH . Coaches will
have an informational meeting for all Parents as it gets closer to the date.
Room costs will be $500.00 per cheerleader, per coaches.4 cheerleaders to a room for 4
nights and 2 coaches to a room for 4 nights.
13. NA CHEER BOOSTER…..Provided a security guard to make sure all cheerleaders are
secure during the trip. $1,000.00 cost for the security guard.
14. $1000.00 gift card is given to Dana Thomas, divided and to be used for food
expenses during the trip.
15. Competition fees are to be paid to The NA Cheer Boosters.
1st Payment of $506.30 is due on or before October 31st.
2nd Payment of $506.30 is due on or before November 30th
3rd Payment ???? will be due on or before December 31st, 2012 as stated in the
informational meeting sheet at the beginning of the cheer season.
October and November fees will cover the cost of flights and rooms for all cheerleaders
and coaches.
The 3rd payment to Florida depends on Fundraising and additional travel expenses
throughout the season!!!
IN CASE OUR VARSITY SQUAD DOES NOT QUATIFY FOR NATIONALS ALL FEES WILL
BE REFUNDED.
16. JV Comp. Squad will be assessed as needed for competitions. Depending on
fundraising.
