ON-GOING PROJECTS

  • Kennywood Day – featuring family fun, picnicking, rides, door prize raffle at Kennywood Park in June.

  • Balloon Arch – UBO has purchased a balloon arch (see picture on our website) that can be rented for sports/school events, senior nights, etc.

  • Scholar Athlete Plaque – a plaque listing the Sport Teams that qualified for the Athletic Director’s awards is located at NASH in the hallway by the Athletic Office has been purchased by the UBO.

  • Hall of Fame – UBO is proud to be a corporate sponsor of this innovative program to honor NA’s finest administrators, coaches, athletes, and fans.  Stop by the Senior High foyer to see the newly erected “Hall of Fame” showcase.

  • Scholar Athlete Awards – certificates given to students in grades 7-12 who maintain honor roll status while participating in a sport or marching band.

  • Tiger Costume – purchased by the UBO, this mascot costume can be utilized by any school or group represented in the UBO.

  • UBO Scholarships – awarded to senior scholar-athlete recipients each year.

  • “Entering Tiger Country” – road signs placed throughout the school district and also at each school entrance.

PAST PROJECTS

  • Elementary Pep Assemblies – an introduction to school spirit as presented by our high school student.
  • Tiger Paths Directions Book – directions to various schools and fields.  Available for purchase at the NASH Athletic Office
  • Entrance at Newman Stadium – UBO sponsored and contribute monies for the new stadium entrance and purchased the Marble Tiger Head
  • Hospitality Room –The UBO sponsored a Hospitality Room for the PASC (Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils) in November.

  • Softball Field Walkway – UBO donated $2000 towards the handicap accessible walkway at the Senior High Softball Field.

  • Spirit Days – designated varsity games or events to promote the cheering section at an event.

  • Lockers – UBO has purchased lockers for the Baierl Center to be used by all sports groups.

  • Marshall Campus Fields – UBO contributions enable the Girls’ Jr. High Soccer, Girls’ Field Hockey, and the Boys’ and Girls’ Lacrosse as well as the Community Youth Soccer program the use of two playing fields at the Marshall Campus Complex.

  • Baierl Center – UBO is a silver plaque sponsor of the multi-purpose facility, located on the Senior High School campus

  • “Celebration Station” – Post game parties were held at NASH for students in grades 9-12 attending a designated event.

  • Popcorn Machine – purchased by the UBO for use at any school event.  Popcorn machine can be used at NASH.  Contact the Athletic Director’s office for availability.

  • WPIAL and PIAA Championship Banners – black and gold banners honoring our championship teams, displayed at NAI.

  • Tiger Country Mural – NAI gym decorated with tiger spirited wall art.  This is co-sponsored with NAI Student Council.

  • Bleachers – two sets of outdoor portable bleachers donated to the NA Athletic Department.

  • Wind Screen – the UBO has leased a wind screen to be displayed on the baseball field at the Senior High School.
