Ayden Owens State Champion, Team Runner Up

Senior Ayden Owens was crowned state champion when he won the 60m Hurdle race at the PTFCA Indoor Championship Meet held at Penn State University.  His time of 7.74 seconds is a new meet record.  Ayden also placed second in the 200m Dash and the Long Jump, only a ¼ inch short of winning the event. Daniel McGoey also medaled in the meet by finishing 8th place in the 3000m Run.  Other qualifiers who competed in the meet included Donovan Rice in the 60m Hurdles, and Jono Pelusi in the Pole Vault and 400m Dash.  The Boy’s team finished 2nd overall with a total of 27 points.  Saint Joesph Prep was the state champion with 37 pts.

Clara Savchick (3000m Run)  and Casey Burton (60m Dash & Long Jump) were the only females to compete for NA in the meet.  Casey medaled with a 6th place finish in the 60m Dash.

The future looks bright for these individuals as they now prepare themselves for the outdoor season.  Congratulations to all NATF participants on a highly successful season.
