Bella Walter, Esha Vaidya Advance To WPIAL Individual Championship
Two North Allegheny golfers have advanced to the WPIAL individual championships on Oct. 2. With a dazzling performance at Fox Run Golf Course on Tuesday, seniors Bella Walter and Esha Vaidya made the cut at the WPIAL qualifier. Walter shot a 76 and Vaidya tallied an 84 to qualify for the WPIAL finals.
Three other Tigers also participated at the event. Katie Rose Rankin finished with a 93, followed closely behind by Christina Zhou’s 94. Olivia Schenk tallied a 106.
In all, only five girls qualified for the WPIAL championships out of the section and North Allegheny had two of them.
The entire North Allegheny girls’ golf team returns to action on Thursday with a home match against Mars.
