Blue Devils Rally For 3-2 Win Over NA
The North Allegheny Girls Volleyball Team dropped a tight matchup with the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils on Monday night, 3-2, in a road non-section battle. The Blue Devils rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the match score with set wins of 25-21, 22-25, 14-25, 25-23 and 15-7.
Senior Meg Morningstar led the way for the Lady Tigers with 13 kills and a pair of blocks. Freshman Piper Morningstar collected a team-high 16 assists and split time at setter as Lauren Swartz tallied 13 assists and Carley Knobeloch notched a dozen. Junior Taylor Rickets kept the Blue Devils off balance with four aces and Steph Meinert paced the defense with 13 digs.
With the non-section loss, North Allegheny falls to 1-2 overall. The Lady Tigers return to section play with a road contest against the Mars Planets tonight. Start time is slated for 7:00 pm.
