Bochicchio, Karapandi Spark Senior Night Win Over Allderdice
Seniors Concetta Bochicchio and Erin Karapandi both netted goals on Senior Night as North Allegheny rolled to a 15-0 victory over Allderdice on Thursday evening at Newman Stadium. Bochicchio scored a pair of goals for her first two of the season, while Karapandi’s marker was the first of her career.
A night after a pair of losses by Norwin and Mt. Lebanon clinched a playoff spot for North Allegheny, the playoff-bound Tigers rolled past the Dragons for their ninth win of the season. Junior Mila Prusak paced NA’s high-powered offense with a hat trick to improve her team-leading total to 16 on the season.
Juniors Lauren Kampi, Sofia Mianzo and Sarah Renninger all tallied two goals apiece in the win. Other Tiger goal scorers included freshman Mia Brinkley, Josie Schomburg and Claire Cho. Brinkley’s goal was the first of her career.
North Allegheny leaps to 9-6 overall and 7-3 in Section 1-AAA. Allderdice remains winless at 0-8 on the season. The Tigers will visit Fox Chapel for a Friday afternoon non-section contest with the Foxes.
