Boys’ golf picks up season sweep of Shaler
The North Allegheny boys’ golf team snapped a two-match skid on Tuesday with a 189-238 home win against Shaler at Diamond Run Golf Club.
The second win of the season over the Titans improves the Tigers to 7-5 overall and 4-3 in Section 3-AAA.
Senior Julian Rau led North Allegheny with a even-par round of 35. Also shooting rounds in the 30’s were junior Ryan Meyer (36) and sophomore Scott Fitzgerald (38). Senior Luke Minsky and junior Adam Hendrickson both shot a round of 40.
North Allegheny will be back in action today when they travel to Pine-Richland in a pivotal section match. The Rams defeated the Tigers 188-190 back on August 29.
