Butler’s Connor Bachman scored the game-winning goal at 1:28 of overtime to lift the Golden Tornado over the North Allegheny Tigers on Monday night, 4-3. It was the first overtime game for North Allegheny since opening night on Oct. 12, 2017 vs. Central Catholic which resulted in a 5-4 defeat.

The Tigers started strong and grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first period on a power play goal by Aaron Miller and an unassisted goal by Haden Shimko.

Butler tied the game at 2-2 in the second period on the strength of two power play goals, one by Bennett Thrash and the other by Bekk McClaine. North Allegheny’s Will Parreaguirre answered by scoring a goal with 55 seconds left in the second period to put the Tigers back on top, 3-2.
