Christina Shi Wins PIAA Class AAA Diving Championship
North Allegheny sophomore Christina Shi won the PIAA Class AAA individual diving championship on Saturday at Cumberland Valley High School. Shi posted an 11-dive score of 457.50, besting the next closest competitor by over 31 points.
The state gold adds to an ever-growing trophy case for Shi. The talented sophomore won her second straight WPIAL Class AAA individual championship just two weeks ago on Feb. 27.
Saturday night was the second straight appearance for Shi at the state diving championships after posting a fifth-place showing a year ago as a freshman. For a look at the entire diving scoresheet from the PIAA Class AAA championship, click here.
