The boys and girls cross country teams hosted the Pine Richland Rams and Knoch Knights on their home course.  Both teams ran strong and came away victorious.

The girls’ team had two clean sweeps, ousting the Rams 15-49 and the Knights 15-50.  Madeleine Davison ran the fastest time in the course’s history.  Her time of 17:43 crushed the previous record of 18 minutes and 18 seconds.  Also breaking 20 minutes and coming in second place was freshman phenom, Clara Savchik.  Rounding out the top seven NA runners and top 8 places overall, were Erin Keelan, Tess Wright, Kara Daggett, Katie Franze, and Caroline Silay.

The boys’ team beat the Rams, 19-44, and the Knights, 15-50.  Hunter Wharrey led the tigers and was closely followed by Zach Deible, Jake Stupak, Peter Savchik, Marc Migliozzi, Matt McGoey, and TJ Robinson.  Many of the boys set lifetime personal records on the course.

Both teams will compete this Saturday at the Central Catholic Invitational in Schenley Park.
