Field Hockey Battles Hathaway Brown To Scoreless Tie
The North Allegheny Field Hockey team ventured out of section play and out of the state on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Shaker Heights, Ohio to play Hathaway Brown. The Lady Tigers hosted Hathaway Brown last year.
After 60 minutes of regulation and another 15 minutes in overtime, both defenses and goalies stood tall, resulting in a 0-0 tie.
The teams were evenly matched in chances, as both teams recorded eight shots on goals. Senior Kali Kugler came up big for the Tigers, saving all chances that came her way. Hathaway Brown held the advantage in penalty corners, 6-3.
The tie was the first of the season for the Lady Tigers, pushing their overall record to 6-5-1. NA will return to Newman Stadium on Monday night against Allderdice at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Night.
