Grant Timmerson Drops 27 In Win Over Seneca Valley
The North Allegheny boys’ basketball team earned another important section win on Friday night with a 73-53 triumph at Seneca Valley. The Tigers raced to a 20-7 lead in the first quarter and led for the remainder of the night.
Senior Grant Timmerson delivered with a huge night for the Tigers with 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting from the field. Timmerson had 20 points by halftime and connected on 6 of 7 from beyond the arc. Seniors Luke Colella and Zach Andreykovich poured in 17 and 10 points, respectively.
Senior Mason Bush paced the Raiders with 20 points and junior Connor Lyczek added 13 points.
North Allegheny leaps to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in Section 1-6A. The victory pulls the Tigers into a tie for third place with the North Hills Indians. NA and North Hills will duel on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live via the internet by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
