Kylie, Jared Isaacs Reach Section 2 Semis Before Bowing Out
Three rounds of play were completed on the NASH courts Monday afternoon as the AAA Section 2 Singles Tournament commenced in search of the 2014 champion. Senior Kylie Isaacs and sophomore Jared Isaacs represented the Tigers out of the number two and five seeds respectively. Kylie defeated Noah Barkley of Ambridge 10-0 in the opening round while Jared defeated Michael Garczynski of Seneca Valley 10-0 in the same round. The quarterfinal matches saw Kylie defeat Jung Bang of Hampton 10-1 while Jared pushed past Pablo Mercates of North Hills 10-4. This set the stage for two North Allegheny-Pine Richland semifinal matches. Unfortunately, the Isaacs siblings both fell to their Ram competitors, Caleb Cramer and Ben Vinarski in straight sets. Congratulations to Kylie and Jared for their strong representation of the Tigers tennis program!
