Lady Tigers Advance To PIAA Semifinals With Win Over Conestoga
The North Allegheny girls’ tennis team advanced to the PIAA Class AAA semifinals with a 3-0 victory over District 1 runner-up Conestoga on Friday in Hershey, PA. The Tigers earned the victory on the strength of wins by Ava Catanzarite (6-0, 6-2) and Ashley Huang (6-1, 6-2) in singles play and the No. 2 doubles team (6-3, 6-1).
North Allegheny improves to 21-0 on the season and moves on to play the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils, the third-place finishers out of the WPIAL, in the state semifinals at 10:00 this morning. The PIAA title match will take place at 3:30 p.m.
