Lady Tigers Blank Reigning State Champion Norwin, 2-0
In a non-section clash with the Norwin Knights, the North Allegheny girls’ soccer team claimed a 2-0 shutout over the reigning state champions on Friday afternoon at Newman Stadium. Juniors Ava Ruppersberger and Hannah Kirkpatrick scored goals for the Tigers. Sophomore goalie Maddie Vukus recorded the Tigers sixth shutout of the season.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 9-5-1 on the season. Norwin drops to 13-2 on the campaign. The Lady Tigers will round out the regular season with a road section matchup at North Hills on Monday.
