Lady Tigers Prevail Over Fox Chapel

The North Allegheny girls’ golf team played and won their 13th match of the season on Thursday afternoon with a 161-199 triumph over the Fox Chapel Foxes in section play.

Junior Caroline Wrigley continued to prove why she is a favorite for a high finish at the year-end tournaments with an even par 36. Junior Christina Lewis is also playing at a high level of consistency and carded a 39. Sophomore Esha Vaidya completes the trio of WPIAL/PIAA contenders and notched a 41 on Thursday. Sophomore Bella Walter rounded out the scoring against Fox Chapel with a 45. For the Foxes, Hannah Conroy was the top golfer with a 43.

North Allegheny leaps to 13-0 overall and 5-0 in the section. The Lady Tigers will travel to Kiski on for a road match on Tuesday before the section qualifier on Wednesday. The Tigers will take their top five golfers to the qualifiers consisting of Caroline Wrigley, Christina Lewis, Esha Vaidya, Jordan Farrell and Bella Walter.
