Lady Tigers Slow-Pitch Pounds Peters Township
On Sunday, September 29, the North Allegheny Girls Slow-pitch Softball Team played host to Peters Township and swept the Indians by scores of 19-5 and 17-7. In game one, the Tigers scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. NA sent 12 batters to the plate in the third inning and tallied nine more runs. Leading the offensive attack were Marlee Tyler who went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBI’s, and Jess Blendinger who posted a single, two walks and three RBI’s.
In game two, the Tigers exploded for eight runs in the top of the first inning. Thirteen batters came to the plate in the big inning. Leading the way was Marlee Tyler who went 3 for 4, and Laura Puntil who went 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBI’s.
The Tigers are now 5-5 and travel next to play Mt. Pleasant.
