Lady Tigers Win Section Opener Over Raiders
The North Allegheny Girls Basketball Team won their section opener on Thursday night with a road victory at Seneca Valley, 58-43. Senior Taylor Brennan led the way with 20 points and helped NA turn a three-point game at halftime into a comfortable victory. Devvin LaBarge and Taylor Lake touched double digits with 10 points apiece.
For Seneca Valley, no player finished in double digits as the NA defense held the Raiders to 26% shooting in the second half. Christina Dunning and Abby Trzeciak each posted a team-high six points.
The Lady Tigers improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in Section 3-AAAA. The Raiders fall to 1-2 overall and 0-1 within the section. North Allegheny hosts Oakland Catholic on Tuesday night in a game that can be heard live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network. Seneca Valley visits Pine-Richland on Monday night with a 7:30 pm tip-off.
