Former North Allegheny softball player, Madi Beining, was named the PSAC Western Division Pitcher of the Year on Monday after posting a division-high 14 wins and a 2.08 ERA in 124.1 innings this season. The sophomore registered 58 strikeouts and tossed five shutout victories in 14 complete games. Beining earned both PSAC West Pitcher of the Week and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Pitcher of the Week honors once.

Beining helped lead the Lady Knights to a 15-5 conference record and the first PSAC Championship in program history. Gannon defeated West Chester on Saturday for the conference title, 5-3. Beining was the winning pitcher in the contest, earning PSAC Tournament MVP honors.
