Former North Allegheny soccer standout, Morgan Anderson, has been recognized as Chatham University’s Female Athlete of the Year.

Anderson, who started all 11 games for the Cougars this season, notched eight goals, including a hat trick in the season opener against Saint Vincent. She also added three assists for a total of 19 points. Anderson’s offensive prowess helped lead the Cougars to their first-ever PAC Championship title on May 1, 2021, resulting in a PAC Player of the Year award and an All-PAC First Team designation.

Her recognition did not end there, factoring in her academic success this time. An Exercise Science/Physical Therapy IDP student maintaining a 3.97 GPA, Anderson was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America and Scholar All-East Region Teams. Just three days after her championship win, she was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team for NCAA Division III Pennsylvania (District 4).
