NA Caps Section Play With Blowout Of North Hills
Capping a perfect run through section play, the North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team won its Section 3-AAA finale with a 3-0 sweep at North Hills on Thursday night. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-14, 25-6 and 25-9.
Leading the rout of the Indians was junior Canyon Tuman with eight kills, followed by junior Jake Barber five kills. Junior Ryan Beck notched a game-high five digs on defense. Junior Josh LaMay posted a team-best four service aces and senior Seth Russell check in with three aces. Junior A.J. Schmidt led the passing game with 16 assists.
North Allegheny improves to 15-0 overall and finishes off section play with a 12-0 mark. The Tigers conclude the regular season with a prime non-section matchup against Ambridge on Friday night. The match will be broadcast live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
