NA Devastates North Hills, 3-0
The North Allegheny Boys Volleyball Team rolled to a road section win with a 3-0 triumph over the North Hills Indians on Tuesday night. The Tigers punished the Indians in the opening set, 25-8, and then cruised to wins of 25-19 and 25-18 to finish off the sweep.
Senior Dave Haus posted a team-high 10 kills and added four digs and a block to his totals. Senior Mitch Higgins delivered nine kills and senior Brendan Brown tallied six more. Senior defensive specialist Luke Gwaltney notched a team-best eight digs and junior David Henderson contributed with four digs. Antonios Balouris and Jeremy Best split time at setter with Balouris posting 26 assists and Best tallying 13.
With the win, North Allegheny jumps to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in Section 2-AAA. North Hills falls to 1-7 overall and 0-6 in section play. The Tigers resume section play Wednesday night with a visit to Shaler to face the Titans. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
JV Update: NA lost to North Hills 2-1 (23-25, 25-13, 10-15).
