NA Finishes Off Section Slate With Sweep Of Pine-Richland
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team capped its section schedule on Thursday night with a 3-0 sweep of the Pine-Richland Rams. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-14.
Senior Drew Hunker paced the offensive attack with 12 kills, followed by senior Sava Topich with five kills. Topich also distributed 27 assists and added three blocks. Senior Jeremiah Zemet was the team leader in blocks with five. Hunker and Trevor Treser took care of the ball with 11 digs on defense.
North Allegheny closes out its Section 2-AAA schedule with a perfect 12-0 record and section championship. The Tigers improve to 15-0 overall and will host Ambridge on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in a tough non-section match. The contest will be broadcast live via the internet by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
