NA Girls Golf Team Extends Lengthy WPIAL Winning Streak
North Allegheny won its seventh straight match to begin the 2018 season with a 161-188 triumph over the Pine-Richland Rams. The win continued NA’s over three-year winning streak against WPIAL opponents.
Junior Esha Vaidya paced the Tigers with a season-low score of 1-under par 35, marking the second time this season an NA golfer shot under par. Senior Caroline Wrigley followed closely with a 37. Bella Walter and Christina Zhou chipped in with a 40 and 49, respectively. Pine-Richland’s Lauren Feyvogel, the winner of the PIAA AAA individual championship a year ago, shot an even par 36.
The victory improves North Allegheny’s record to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the section. The Lady Tigers takes on Moon on Monday afternoon in a non-section affair.
