NA GIRLS HOST CONNELLSVILLE IN FIRST HOME DUAL MEET IN PROGRAM HISTORY

(2/15/22) The North Allegheny girls’ wrestling team hosted its first home dual meet in program history against the Connellsville Falcons on Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers won five of six bouts on the night, including a 7-5 decision by junior Hannah Williams over Julianna Hart to open the meet.

Freshman Brenna Collery made quick work of Heather Rush in just 36 seconds, while junior Callie Rautenbach also earned a win by fall over Mackenzie Heitger in the following bout.

Freshman Kaylee Dean picked a win by injury default over Cayce Myers, while Connellsville’s Cecily Brown did the same against Williams for the Falcons only win.

Freshman Maya Scott earned a win by fall over Maya Scott in 1:19 and sophomore Leyna Rumpler capped the night with a 22-7 tech fall over Heitger.

The North Allegheny girls’ wrestling team will host Canon-McMillan on Wednesday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. The dual meet will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
