NA Girls’ Volleyball Notches 3-1 Win Over Mt. Lebanon
The Lady Tigers Volleyball Squad traveled to neutral site Chartiers Valley on Monday night and came away with a 3-1 victory against the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils in a non-section affair. North Allegheny triumphed with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 20-25 and 25-18.
Senior outside hitter Ashley Leto topped out for NA with 20 digs, 14 kills and four aces to lead the way. Junior Meg Morningstar posted 11 kills, two aces and helped jam the middle of the net with 1.5 blocks. Sophomore setter Beth Muhlenkamp collected a team-best 31 assists.
With the win, North Allegheny jumps its record to 2-0 overall and will return to section play tonight with a visit to Butler. The Golden Tornado are coming off a big win on Monday night, 3-2, over Fox Chapel. Start time for tonight’s contest is at 7:00 pm.
