NA Girls’ Volleyball Topples North Hills
The North Allegheny Girls Volleyball Team picked up another section victory with a 3-1 defeat of rival North Hills on Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers dropped the first set 25-22, but bounced back by winning the next three sets by scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-18.
Senior Jessica Samuels kept North Hills off balance with her serves, netting nine aces on the night. Senior Danielle Wall was the team leader in kills with nine, followed by Erin Swartz’s seven kills. Swartz and Meg Morningstar teamed up for two blocks apiece and Lauren Doak paced the Tigers defense with eight digs. Setter Beth Muhlenkamp dished out 29 assists.
North Allegheny jumps to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in section play. North Hills falls to 1-6 overall and within the section. The Lady Tigers take on Moon on the road on Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
