NA Gymnasts Return To Action Against Moon
The North Allegheny gymnastics team returned to action on Tuesday night and dropped a 144.3-126.25 decision to the Moon Tigers.
Despite the loss, there were some great performances by a young NA squad. Freshman Jena Karlovitis led the team in the vault (8.65) and beam (8.25) events and posted a solid score of 8.0 in the floor event. Equaling Karlovitis’ score of 8.65 in the vault was freshman Marsha Dudina. Freshman Gabi Stegeman posted a team-high 7.95 on the bars, while the team’s lone upperclassmen, junior Gena Chick, paced the team in the floor event with an 8.45. North Allegheny sits at 0-2 on the season following the loss. The Lady Tigers will host Pine-Richland and Fox Chapel on Thursday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m at Jewart’s Gymnastics.
