NA Hammers Hampton For 10-4 Win

The North Allegheny baseball team pounced for 10 runs in the first three innings and coasted to a 10-4 non-section win over the Hampton Talbots on Wednesday night.

Senior Luke Trueman belted a double and drove in three runs to help lead the offensive charge. In all, eight different Tigers collected hits, including Justin Hamm who joined the hit parade with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Ryan Dougherty went 1-for-3 with two RBI’s and two runs scored. Turner White, Caiden Wood and Juliano Capretta all posted an RBI apiece.

On the mound, starter Jack Kenna went five strong innings to earn the victory, allowing only one unearned run with four strikeouts and one walk. Hampton’s Mike Scheutz took the loss and was chased after two innings of work.

North Allegheny improves to 10-8 on the season, while Hampton dips to 13-4 overall. The Tigers continue non-section play on Thursday night with a visit to North Hills.
