NA Ice Hockey Falls To Seneca Valley, 6-3

The North Allegheny ice hockey team was upended by the Seneca Valley Raiders, 6-3, at the Baierl Ice Complex on Thursday night. Connor Williams scored two third period goals to help the Raiders past the Tigers in a Class AAA contest.

The game started out as a seesaw affair, with the Tigers jumping out in front a goal by John Parks just 20 seconds into the game. Seneca Valley took a 2-1 lead in the first period thanks to goals by Alexander  Crilley and Nicholas Raible, but North Allegheny tied the game, 2-2, at the 6:05 of the second period on a marker by Cameron Zahn.

Despite NA’s best efforts, Seneca Valley scored four of the next five goals and defeated North Allegheny 6-3.  The Raiders outshot North Allegheny, 41-25.

The loss drops the Tigers record to 3-2-1. The Raiders improve to 5-3-0 and sit in second place in the Class AAA standings. North Allegheny will try to bounce back on Monday night with a home contest against Bethel Park.
