NA Lacrosse Buries Butler, 20-5

Freshman Wes Powell had a breakout night and led a North Allegheny onslaught over Butler, 20-5, on Wednesday night for a Division 1, Section 2 victory on the road. Powell had a career-high five goal performance and was one of two Tigers with a hat trick.  Senior Kyle Rullan notched a trio of goals to help NA leap out to a 13-2 lead by halftime.

The Golden Tornado never had a chance as the Tigers coasted to the win in the second half. In all, nine different players scored goals for North Allegheny.  Tallying two goals apiece were Zech Nachazel, Kyle Sena, Dillon Dugan, Will Petraglia and Anthony Mauro.  Netting single goals were Peter Berrante and Zach Smith.

North Allegheny improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in section play.  Butler remains winless with an 0-5 overall mark and 0-3 section record. The Tigers hope to continue their winning ways with a visit to Cathedral Prep on Friday night. Opening faceoff is slated for 7:00 in Erie.
