NA Notches Section Win Over North Hills, 3-0
The reigning PIAA champion North Allegheny Tigers prevailed over the North Hills Indians on Thursday night, 3-0, in Section 1-AAAA action. The Lady Tigers earned the sweep by set scores of 25-9, 25-17 and 25-14.
It was a great team performance by the Tigers as nine different players tallied kills. Leading the way was sophomore Paige Miller who posted 12 kills. Senior Anna Sprys contributed five kills.
Defensively, senior Allena Carmody collected a team-high 14 digs, while junior Abby Miller notched 10 digs.
North Allegheny improves to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in Section 1-AAAA. North Hills slips to 0-1 in the section. The Lady Tigers will participate in the Upper St. Clair Invitational this weekend.
