NA Punishes Pine-Richland, 60-30
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its fifth in a row and rolled to a 60-30 win over the Pine-Richland Rams on Thursday night. The Tigers jumped to a 36-21 lead by halftime and cruised in the second half.
NA had three players reach double figures in the win. Junior Lizzy Groetsch led the scoresheet with 16 points, followed by sophomore Taylor Rawls and junior Paige Morningstar with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Pine-Richland was paced by Meghan Luellen with 10 points.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 16-3 overall and 11-1 in Section 1-6A. Pine-Richland dips to 3-14 overall and 1-11 in the section. The Tigers host Butler on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
