NA Rolls Past Fairview, 21-10

The North Allegheny girls’ lacrosse team returned to the win column Friday night with a 21-10 triumph over Fairview in a non-section contest at Newman Stadium. The Tigers held an 8-3 lead at the half before a scoring explosion helped NA comfortably pull away in the second half.

Junior Mila Prusak sparked the offense with four goals and three assists, while seniors Allison Lyon and Emma Lafayette each posted hat tricks in the victory.

In all, 12 different Tigers scored goals on the night, including senior Bella Falo and junior Leigh Failla, who each netted a pair of goals. Also touching the scoresheet were Amelia Henderson, Maya Evans, Rebecca Oates, Ava Lindsay, Kelsea Apel, Avery Anderson and Charlotte Schreiber all tallied one goal apiece.

Oates led the team in groundballs with four. Senior goalie Emma Donnelly picked up her first win in net and reeled in four saves.

Fairview was led by senior Caroline Zentis with a hat trick.

North Allegheny improves to 8-3 overall with the non-section win, while Fairview falls to 4-6 on the season. The Tigers will visit Pine-Richland on Tuesday night in a major section clash with the rival Rams.
