NA Seniors Dazzle, Will Parreaguirre Nets Hat Trick On Senior Night

It was senior night at the Baierl Ice Complex in Warrendale and the North Allegheny seniors shined in a 7-3 victory over the Seneca Valley Raiders on Thursday night. Senior forward Will Parreaguirre was the headliner by posting a hat trick, including two goals in the third period, to capture Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors.

Sophomore Luke Washabaugh and Parreaguirre netted early goals for North Allegheny for a 2-1 lead by the end of the first period.

The Tigers tacked on two more goals in the second period on a goal by senior Tyler Putnam, and another by Washabaugh, for a 4-1 advantage.

Seneca Valley made a push in the third period with a pair of goals but North Allegheny sealed the win with a marker from Kevin Hart and two more by Parreaguirre to finish off a 7-3 victory. Seneca Valley’s Chris Belt tallied one goal and one assist to lead the Raiders.

Fittingly, senior Tyler Boyles got the start in net and earned the victory for the Tigers with 34 saves. Cole Hoffman stopped 17 shots in a losing effort for Seneca Valley.

With the win, the first-place Tigers improve 13-2-1 overall, while Seneca Valley remains in third place with a 9-5-1 record. The Tigers will head to Erie on Wednesday, Jan. 30 to face Cathedral Prep at 8:30 p.m.
