NA Softball Upended By Pine-Richland
North Allegheny lost to section opponent Pine-Richland with a final score of 5-0. Pine-Richland starting pitcher Gabriella Aughton earned the win by holding the Tigers to just four hits.
Pine-Richland scored on a solo home run in the third inning, and tallied an additional four hits in the fourth to score four more runs.
The Tigers threatened in the fifth inning by loading the bases with a single by senior Brooke Serbin, followed by trips to first on balls for seniors Ashley Adams and Kristen Chomos. However, they were unable to score in the inning.
Pitcher Adams took the loss for the Tigers, pitching a complete game. She allowed five runs on five hits with eight strikeouts.
The Tigers complete their section play at North Hills on Friday at 3:30. The game will be played at McIntyre Elementary School.
