NA Stomps State College, 54-42
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its fifth straight game with a 54-42 road win against the State College Little Lions on Saturday. The Tigers outrebounded the Lions, 28-19, and forced their opponent into 18 turnovers.
Sophomore Rachel Martindale paced the Tigers with a double-double, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Piper Morningstar chipped in with 16 points and helped NA to a 27-15 halftime lead. North Allegheny cruised to the win in the second half.
North Allegheny improves to 15-1 overall on the season following the non-section win. The Lady Tigers host the Shaler Titans on Monday night in a game that will be broadcast live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
