NA Thwarts Penn-Trafford To Remain Unbeaten
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team traveled to Irwin Country Club on Wednesday afternoon and defeated the Penn-Trafford Warriors in non-section action, 153-156. This was the closest match of the season for the Lady Tigers, but the two-time reigning WPIAL champions still prevailed to remain unbeaten on the season.
Junior Caroline Wrigley once again paced the Tigers with a 1-under par 33. Sophomore Esha Vaidya had a strong performance with a 37, followed by Jordan Farrell and Christina Zhou who each shot a 40. Christina Lewis and Bella Walter both carded a 43. Penn-Trafford was led by Anna Stowers who shot a 36.
North Allegheny sits at 18-0 on the season and will visit Shaler on Friday in the section and regular season finale.
