NA Ties Top-Ranked Pine-Richland In Section Finale
Facing off against the Section 1-AAAA champion Pine-Richland Rams, the North Allegheny girls’ soccer team earned a 2-2 tie on Saturday evening. In the section finale, it was the first time all season the Rams did not win a section game.
North Allegheny junior Alex Adams scored both of NA’s goals in the contest to help force the 2-2 draw. It was a good effort by the Tigers against the No. 1-ranked team in Class AAAA and something to build on ahead of the WPIAL playoffs.
North Allegheny improves to 10-5-1 overall and 6-3-1 in Section 1-AAAA. Pine-Richland sits at 13-1-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the section. The Tigers host the Norwin Knights in a tough non-section contest on Monday night.
