NA Turns Away Mt. Lebanon, 5-1

After back-to-back losses to end 2019, the first-place North Allegheny Tigers opened the new year with a 5-1 win at Mt. Lebanon on Monday night.

The Tigers raced to a 5-0 lead at the end of two periods and coasted in the third to the victory. Connor Chi netted a pair of goals in the second period to solidify the win. Will Parreaguirre, Kevin Hart and Tyler Putnam also scored.  In net, Josh Bailey made 25 saves to earn the victory.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 11-2-1 on the season and sits in first place with 23 points, seven points ahead of second place. Mt. Lebanon falls to 5-7 overall. The Tigers will visit Central Catholic on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m.
