NA Volleyballers Stonewall Shaler, 3-1
The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team earned another section win on the road on Thursday night, prevailing over the Shaler Titans, 3-1. The Tigers earned the Section 1-AAAA victory by set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 25-6 and 25-10.
The North Allegheny offense was led by junior Paige Morningstar, who tallied 14 kills. Senior Hannah Phillips notched 12 kills, while Maddi Curran, Madison Beer and Abby Miller all posted six kills each.
The Tigers defense was strong as usual, with senior Malia Duffy delivering a team-high 24 digs, followed by Abby Miller with 16 digs.
With the win, North Allegheny’s 57th in a row, the Tigers improve to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in Section 1-AAAA. Fourth-place Shaler falls to 3-4 in the section. NA will take part in the State College Invitational over the weekend.
