NA Volleyballers Sweep North Hills, 3-0
North Allegheny ran its winning streak to 29 in a row with a 3-0 sweep over section foe North Hills on Thursday night. The Tigers earned the home victory by set scores of 25-10, 25-20 and 25-16.
Senior Drew Hunker was a catalyst in the win with a team-high 11 kills and three blocks. Alex Zubrow, Ben Mendes and Gavin Owens all posted five kills apiece. On defense, Owens notched a team-leading five digs. Senior Sava Topich and freshman Caleb Schall tallied three aces each. Topich led the team in assists with 20, followed by Schall with 18.
North Allegheny remains undefeated with a 6-0 record and 5-0 mark in Section 2-AAA. North Hills falls to 0-5 in the section. The Tigers will take part in the York Invitational on Saturday.
