Rick Mihm Highlights Former Tigers Competing At U.S. Olympic Trials

Former North Allegheny swimming standout Rick Mihm recently reached the semifinals in the 200 IM at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska. Mihm, who just concluded his freshman year at Stanford University, placed 14th overall in the semifinals with a time of 2:00.96.

Mihm was one of several other former Tigers who competed the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials. Also competing at the trials were Mason Gonzalez (Stanford), Jack Wright (Virginia) and Torie Buerger (Kentucky).

During the 2020-2021 school year, Gonzalez earned All-American status for his efforts in the 800 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay. Wright also earned All-American accolades for the same events, the 800 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay. Buerger was named to the 2021 All-SEC Freshman Team.
