Seven Medals For NA Rowing At Pittsburgh Indoor Sprints
The North Allegheny Mens and Womens Rowing team started out strong at its first indoor race of the season on January 28, 2017. The team came home with seven medals at the Pittsburgh Indoor Sprints, hosted by the Three Rivers Rowing Association.
The team finished with (2) Gold, (2) Silver and (3) Bronze which was the second highest medal count for high school teams.
Gold – Christopher Schmitz (High School Novice Boys)
Gold – Nick Hladio (High School Senior Boys)
Silver – Tim Appleton (Lightweight High School Senior Boys)
Silver – Gearoid Ridenour (Lightweight High School JV Boys)
Bronze – Cassandre Korvink-Kucinski (High School JV Girls)
Bronze – Faylyn Kalchthaler (Lightweight High School JV Girls)
Bronze – Christopher Hallen (Lightweight High School JV Boys)
The relay team – Brooke Gauntner, Emily Chadwick, Cassandre Korvink-Kucinski , Tim Appleton, Christopher Schmitz, Nick Hladio – also finished second in the High School Mixed 6-person Relay. Congratulations to the medal winners!
