Thornton Commits To Play Soccer at Lycoming College
Senior defender Nicholas Thornton has committed to play soccer at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA. Lycoming has been a rising power in Division III over the last three years going 44-13-6 since head coach Nate Gibboney took over. Last season Lycoming went 18-2-2, won their conference championship, advanced to the sweet sixteen of the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked No. 10 in the country. Thornton, a two time first team All-WPIAL and All-Section player, was a three-year varsity starter and helped the Tigers to four straight WPIAL playoff appearances. He plans to study accounting in college.
