Tigers Bedevil Blue Devils, 3-0
The top-ranked North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team rolled to 3-0 win at Mt. Lebanon on Monday night. The Tigers picked up the victory by set scores of 25-10, 25-5 and 25-12.
NA controlled the match as the entire roster saw significant playing time. The starters were able to rest for the entire third set as NA displayed its terrific depth.
Offensively, Hannah Phillips led the way with eight kills. Paige Morningstar, Jadyn Perkins and Rachel Burton all tallied five kills each. Junior Paige Miller made an appearance on the front line as well with her first three kills of the season. Defensively, Malia Duffy and Abby Miller led with 12 digs apiece.
With its 50th consecutive win, North Allegheny improves to 3-0 on the season. The Tigers will visit Oakland Catholic on Wednesday for another non-section contest.
