Tigers Blank Indians, 6-0

The North Allegheny girls’ soccer team recorded its seventh straight shutout victory with a 6-0 triumph at North Hills on Tuesday night. The blanking of the Indians was the 13th of the season for the Tigers, extending the team’s program record for shutouts.

The Tigers got off to a quick start in he first half with a goal 46 seconds in by sophomore forward Abigail Stager.  Junior Lucia Wells scored in the 9th minute of the game and Stager added another goal to extend the Tigers lead to 3-0 by intermission.

In the second half, North Allegheny coasted to the victory with another goal by Wells and two more from junior Allie Burns to bring the final score to the 6-0, Tigers.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 13-0-1 and 8-0-1 in Section 1-AAAA. North Hills falls to 5-10 overall and 2-7 in the section. The Tigers will visit Norwin for a tough non-section contest on Thursday night.
