Tigers Blast Big Macs, 6-0

A four-goal outburst in the third period helped North Allegheny vanquish the Canon-McMillan Big Macs on Monday night, 6-0, at the Baierl Ice Complex. If your first name was Tyler, you probably scored a goal in the final period. Tyler Duderstadt, Tyler Putnam and Tyler Lamark all tallied goals for the Tigers. Duderstadt scored a pair of goals in a three-point effort to finish off the Big Macs.

In the first period, Will Parreaguirre netted the first goal of the night at the 15:04 mark, assisted by Matthew Morrison and Duderstadt. The Tigers’ lead swelled to 2-0 thanks to a goal by Haden Shimko just 58 seconds into the second period. Bernardo Vieira had the helper on the Shimko goal.

The score remained 2-0 until the avalanche of goals by NA in the third period. North Allegheny goalie Ryan Heil earned the win and stopped all 22 shots he faced for the shutout. Canon-McMillan goalie Raymond Butka was peppered with 33 shots and made 27 saves.

North Allegheny improves to 2-0-1 on the season with the win. Canon-McMillan slips to 1-3 on the year. The Tigers visit Bethel Park on Thursday, November 2 at 9:00 p.m.
