Tigers Blow Away Tornado, 207-233
On a cool and picturesque day for golf, the North Allegheny Tigers breezed past the Golden Tornado on Tuesday afternoon, 207-233, at Butler Country Club. Senior Josh Huhn led the Tigers with a 3-over at the Par 35 course. Butler’s Nic Leone matched Huhn for the best score of the day with a 38, but the Golden Tornado did not have enough to stay with the Tigers on this day.
NA sophomore David Mrazik checked in with a 41, while senior Martin Lazzaro and sophomore Kyle Dewey each finished with 42 strokes. Sophomore Ryan Dougherty added a 44 and junior Noah Wessel rounded out the scoring with a 46.
North Allegheny improves to 10-5-1 overall and 6-2 in section action. The Tigers have a couple of days off before facing Pine-Richland on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm.
